If you’re like us, you seriously cannot wait for it to be October. Pumpkins, ghosts and that frozen Pillsbury cookie dough? Yes, please! And there’s no better way to get into the spooky mood than with a classic spooky show. Here are five shows to watch to get into the Halloween spirit!

1. Teen Wolf

Both campy and scary, Teen Wolf is the perfect re-watch. Full of werewolves, kitsunes and folkloric creatures like Bezerkers and Wendigos, at least one of these episodes is sure to spook you!

If this is your first watch, start at the beginning of course! But if you’re a Teen Wolf veteran and want to revisit an episode with a little more bite, we recommend Echo House or Motel California.

2. NOS4A2

Led by American Horror Story star Zachary Quinto, NOS4A2 is vampires as you’ve never seen them. Though this show’s holiday of choice is Christmas, the spirit of the show is anything but holly and jolly. This AMC gem follows the face-off between supervillain Charlie Manx and teen Victoria “Vic” McQueen. Each has special powers, and each will stop at nothing to take down the other. An epic, can’t miss show.

3. Scream

MTV’s slasher show Scream is totally bingeable and available on Netflix. When a serial killer shows up in our characters’ town, everyone is a suspect, and everyone is a target. Full of suspense and campy fun, this is the perfect pre-Halloween treat!

4. The Haunting of Hill House

This one is NOT for the faint of heart. The Haunting of Hill House is horror through and through and has more than a few nightmare-inducing moments. Come for the spooky premise and stay for the beautiful cinematography.

5. Eye Candy

Finally, this forgotten MTV gem will make you afraid of dating apps FOREVER. Starring Victoria Justice, Eye Candy is a perfectly suspenseful stalkery thriller. Watch the whole season in one weekend!
