Reading isn’t always easy to keep up with, but audiobooks are here to help.

On January 1st 2018 I sat at my desk, drinking a cup of coffee and downing a handful of ibuprofen that I had hoped would help take the edge off of my New Year’s Eve hangover. As the pounding of my im-too-old-to-drink headache began to fade, I decided to write out my resolutions for 2018. Some of the items were super practical, like exercising more and decorating my apartment, others were a little far out but I wanted to challenge myself so I added them anyway.

As I sit at my desk on December 17th 2018 I am ashamed to admit that I have only completed one (1) of my resolutions, and that was to read as many books as possible. Sure, I didn’t go to Africa or perfect a red sauce recipe but I DID read a ton of new books and I have audio books to thank for that!

2018 is the year I discovered my love for audio romance books. They’re typically short, easy to listen to, and totally swoon worthy!! Since it’s time for us to start thinking of our 2019 resolutions, I wanted to share my favorite audio romance books to help jumpstart your resolution to read more books!!!

Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan

Oh man. This book. I mean, at this point I will read anything that Kendall Ryan writes but Dear Jane might just one of my all-time faves by her! Not only is this a sports romance but it’s a SECOND CHANCE sports romance!!!! This is the perfect recipe for sweet and angsty and coming in at just around 6 hours, it is definitely one you’ll need to read/listen to asap!

Love Sincerely Yours by Meghan Quinn and Sara Ney

Love Sincerely Yours is a hilarious office rom-com from two of my favorite authors. I actually read this book in kindle format and then as soon as I had the opportunity to listen to it, I jumped at it! This book is 7 hours and 45 minutes of pure slow burn perfection. I was smitten with Peyton and Rome from the very first email! This one should be at the top of your audio book tbr!

Tattered (Love Cove book 1) by Devney Perry

THIS!!! BOOK!!!! IS!!!! SO!!! GOOD!!! I started Tattered during a road trip because I knew I would need a solid 6 hours of listening time to dedicate to this 10 hour audio book. I absolutely love Devney Perry and the Tattered audio book instantly shot to the top of my favorites list. Thea and Logan are such an incredible couple and I really loved that they actually communicated!! I hate when there are problems in a book that could be easily solved by a single conversation, so to see these two actually talk about their issues was really refreshing!

Secrets (Web of Sin book 1) by Aleatha Romig

Okay – full disclosure, this book was recommended to me by a friend and I was super skeptical. Turns out, I should really listen to my friends because this audio book was fantastic!!! I actually listened to the whole 8 hour book at work (pls don’t tell my boss) because I literally couldn’t stop listening!! Secrets is everything the name implies; dark, captivating and intense. Romig knocked it out of the park with this one!

Dark Lover by J.R. Ward

An oldie but a goodie, I am sure that a lot of you have heard of the powerhouse that is J.R. Ward but have you ever listened to one of her books? They’re incredible! I had read this book on my kindle but a few months ago I decided that I wanted to revisit it, and what better way to do that than with an audio book?! I have no regrets about rebuying this one!!

On the radar: Repeat by Kylie Scott

Kylie Scott is another one click author for me! I have read almost every book that she’s ever published and I can’t wait to get my hands (and ears) on the Repeat audio book! This one releases on January 7th 2019 so make sure you preorder this baby asap!!!!!

Now that you guys have a list of my favorite audio books, which ones do you recommend? Happy reading!
