It’s a holiday week! What does that mean to me and all of my fellow bookworms? More time to read, of course. Happy 4th of July!

❤ Indicates the books that I have read and recommend.

Make Me Need by Katee Robert (July 1)

(Blurb)

Trish Livingston desperately needs cash, so when her brother offers her a job while he’s on paternity leave, she snaps it up. She’s even willing to put up with his best friend and business partner, the notoriously grumpy Cameron O’Clery—especially when she finds out he’s very easy on the eyes.

Cameron hates people: especially peppy, happy people like Trish. He avoids her at all costs, until a raunchy late-night encounter in an elevator shows him that there’s a fine line between hate and lust. Cameron knows he’s broken the rules—and is resolved to keep his distance from her.

But Trish doesn’t make it easy. A work trip places them in adjoining hotel bedrooms, giving her the chance to put on a sizzling show just for him! When Cameron’s left wanting more, Trish is delighted to give him exactly that… Can either of them walk away from something that feels this good?

In Moonlight and Memories: Volumes One-Three by Julie Ann Walker (July 1)

(Blurb)

Maggie: Ten years ago, Cash Armstrong stole my heart. Then he promptly joined the army—dragging my best friend with him—and left me crying on the front porch in a red sequined prom dress. Now he’s back. They’re both back. Cash, the one who still has my heart. And Luc, the one who saved my life.

Cash: How do you know if you’re at the end of the beginning or the beginning of the end? That’s what I’ve been trying to figure out since a traumatic brain injury made me “unfit to serve.” I’m back in New Orleans, and picking up the shattered pieces of my past means I must confront where my life’s journey began… and where it all might end.

Luc: Long ago, Maggie May was mine. Not mine in the way you might think. She was mine because she was my only friend. Then Cash came along and we became brothers by something stronger than blood. We became brothers by choice. When tragedy struck, I was forced to make a decision that changed all our lives. I thought, after ten years, it was safe to come back home. I was wrong…

Saint by Chantal Fernando (July 1)

(Blurb)

Dear Skylar,

Five years. That’s a long time to go without talking to somebody, especially someone who was such a huge part of your life…

A letter from my first kiss and my childhood everything…from prison.

He may be nicknamed Saint, but this sweet, sexy biker most definitely has a wild streak. Hearing from him draws me right back into the Knights of Fury motorcycle club—the people I’ll always think of as family.

He’s still the only man I’ve ever wanted.

Each good, old-fashioned letter from my “prison pen pal” has my heart racing. Which is nothing compared to how I feel when Saint surprises me in person, as a free man.

I was just a kid the last time we saw each other, but the connection between us now is anything but innocent.

He’s the type of man who would do anything to protect his woman. And with my world crashing down around me, that’s exactly what I’m going to need.

Tangle by Adriana Locke (July 2)

Tangle has all of the small-town charm, endearing characters, steamy interludes, lighthearted humor and feel-good romance that you’d expect from Adriana Locke, and reading it reminds me why she is one of my favorite authors. Haley and Trevor meet when he comes to Dogwood Lane to oversee a construction project, and their chemistry is instant and blazing hot. Neither is looking to get involved, especially because Trevor is only in town for a short time, so they settle into a playful, very flirtatious friendship. They’re magnetic as they transition from friends to lovers, and you cannot help but cheer for them every step of the way. Memorable secondary characters provide additional entertainment and warmth and makes Tangle absolutely irresistible. Don’t miss Adriana Locke’s latest.

Obsessed (Tangled Web #2) by Aleatha Romig (July 2). Not a standalone.

(Blurb)

Everything changed the night our eyes met across the room. His green gaze upon me prickled my skin with uncustomary warmth while my peek beneath his cuff—of a riot of color on his wrist—sparked my insatiable curiosity. Tall and mysterious, Kader was a man whose secrets I longed to know.

Little did I realize that the night we met was only the beginning—the beginning to the end of the existence I knew.

What will happen as his assignment becomes our obsession?

It Wasn’t Me by Lani Lynn Vale (July 2)

(Blurb)

Piper Mackenzie first sees him shirtless, standing in front of the military plane she was about to board, with one rather large wrench in his hand. The fact that he has the plane—the one that she’s about to be flying on for hours—in pieces only minutes before she’s set to take off on it doesn’t faze her. At least not until a flippant joke about dying in mid-air leaves his lips.

The second time she sees him, he’s helping her from the wreckage of her car. The wreckage that he helped cause.

The third, he’s laying across from her in the same bed, and there’s no denying what happened the night before.

The fourth, well that time would be the first of many. Being Mrs. Jonah Crew has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

*****

Jonah Crew saw her for the first time as she stared at him in awe. It was snowing, the temp was in the negative degrees, and he couldn’t think about anything but her and the look of horror on her face when he tells a badly-timed joke.

The second time he sees her, his heart skips a beat, but not for the reason that one might think. Mainly, it’s due in part to the fact that his truck smashed into her car so hard that his chest hits the steering wheel and his heart decides to stop working right.

The third time, he’s fairly positive that he’s died and gone to heaven. At least, that’s what waking up next to a beautiful woman like her signifies, right?

The fourth? Well, he’s not quite sure how he got there, but he’s already said ‘I do’ so what’s a guy to do?

Plan B by Jana Aston (July 2)

Anytime Jana Aston has a new book coming out, I block out the entire day, because I know that I will not want to do anything but read, which is exactly what happened as soon as Plan B hit my eReader. I giggled, laughed, blushed and sighed in pure reading bliss as I devoured this absolutely hilarious, sexy and swoon-worthy romance. Violet finds herself in an awkward predicament of unexpectedly expecting and needing to find her baby daddy, Kyle, ten weeks after their steamy one-night stand. Kyle is shocked when she delivers the news, but he turns the tables and surprises her when he suggests they get married. They agree to a marriage-of-convenience, but it quickly becomes obvious that this pretend relationship is starting to feel very real. Their tumble into love is anything but conventional, and they’re utterly adorable as they navigate their way to happily ever after. I adore every laugh-out-loud, perfectly absurd moment of Plan B, and I’m already impatient to get my hands on the next Jana Aston romantic comedy.

Once Upon a Cowboy by Rachel Lacey (July 2)

(Blurb)

Megan Perl went from beauty to beast when a car accident left her permanently scarred. Before, Megan was outgoing and vivacious, always with a man at her side. Now? She spends more time behind a camera than in front of it. She’s ready to turn her hobby into something more by offering photography sessions at the castle where she works. This year is dedicated to her career, not men. If only she wasn’t so crazy-attracted to the cowboy who’s renting the stable on the castle grounds…

Jake Reardon is no stranger to tragedy. After a fall left his bride in a coma on their wedding day, he was forced to watch her slowly fade away in a hospital bed. Now, he finds himself in the unwelcome position of virgin widower. At Rosemont Castle, he can finally focus on establishing his career as a horse trainer. The only problem is that his new landlady makes him hotter than the Virginia sun.

Sparks fly every time Jake and Megan cross paths, but there’s no way he’s going to lose his virginity with the woman who manages the property he’s leasing. As their attraction grows, though, so do their emotions. Jake carries his scars inside, but Megan has to wear hers for the world to s

Devoted to Love by Shayla Black (July 2)

Shayla Black is one of the best writers of romantic suspense, and Devoted to Love is another seriously sexy, thrilling, edge-of-your-seat love story. Maggie and Josiah have scorching-hot chemistry from the moment their eyes meet, and they agree to a no-strings one-night stand. Both are surprised by the emotional connection they feel during their passionate interlude, and, luckily, they get to further explore this when Josiah, who is in private security, stays in town in order to determine who is threatening Maggie’s family. This feisty, sassy Texan soon brings the stoic alpha-male to his knees, and their fall into love is quick and breathtakingly romantic. But it’s not smooth sailing for these two yet, because there are dangerous threats knocking at the ranch’s door. Don’t miss the second, standalone book in Black’s must-read series, Devoted Love.
