Hi readers! I’m very excited to share with you today a brand new cover for an anticipated romance release. I’m sure that by the end of this post you’ll be just as excited as me. If you’re into historical romances, you’re in the right place. Also if you love horses, you don’t need to look elsewhere. Betting On a Duke’s Heart by Royaline Sing is releasing on April 19th, 2021 and I hope you’re all putting it on your TBRs. Take a look at the cover and an exclusive excerpt from the book down below!

About Betting on a Duke’s Heart:

Aetius White, the Duke of Saxton, couldn’t save his father, but he’ll be damned if he won’t save the man’s dream. He’ll acquire a Triple Crown–winning horse at any cost, even marriage. Luckily, the lovely lady in mind loves challenges as much as he. Certainly he can win her heart without losing his own…

Hell will freeze over before Miss Dina Campbell agrees to marry a horse-mad man who wants her dowry of a prize stallion, no matter what her father wants. The duke may be handsome, but he’ll have to prove he is a suitable match for her before she’ll even consider the offer. And there’s no way this love-averse man will ever succeed with the wager that she has planned…

Frolic-Exclusive Excerpt:

“I enjoy an occasional brandy or whiskey. In solitude.” He raised his eyebrows. “I like reading when time permits.”

“And still you spend most of your time in the stables. What do you like the most with the horses?”

Goodness, he lit up. It was as if the sun decided to shine only on him and his black top hat could not hamper it. He went from handsome to—breathtaking. Realizing she stared, she snapped her gaze straight ahead.

“Everything. Horses are the best creatures in the universe, did you know that, Miss Campbell? Swift, agile, and free. They have the strength to run away from the world in minutes, if they want. But they won’t. They are the most dependable companions a man has. I enjoy teaching them to rein their power or unleash it to the best of their ability. Especially a young one who is wild but when harnessed properly can outdo himself.” He leaned a little forward, nearing her ear. Oh dear. Her breaths rushed ahead of each other. The passion he poured into his speech was magnificent. “I love training horses in my days and nights.”

Horses. How could she forget? That deflated her bubbles of attraction, popping one at a time. He exuded all that magnificence for horses.

“There you go.” Her voice carried a faint buzz, and she prayed only she heard it. “That’s your favorite activity. Enjoying a glass of brandy while reading is a pastime.”

How did he look when he relaxed and enjoyed the simple pursuit? He might lounge near the fire, with less formal attire, no cravat and no coat, a look of pure bliss on his face when he sipped his ambrosia… There she went again. If she didn’t stop filling her head with His Grace, when she married as high-handed a husband as His Grace, he’d put an instant stop to her scandalous writing.

No, she needed him to lose their game.

About the Author:

As my first fiction work, I’ve a notebook length movie script, featuring my favorite stars. I was probably ten. It hasn’t seen the light of the day (And it won’t).

But story telling lingered. Though I have a software engineering job, the creative world teased from afar. So one day, I finally put the pen to the paper (or my fingers to the keyboard?) and started writing.

Now, I write through the noise of my lovely two kids, a very supportive (but sweetly clueless) husband and a bank job where numbers rule.

Born and brought up in India, I’m a huge fan of Bollywood romantic movies and the music. I also like all things Marvel! I love to travel and so many destinations are on my bucket list.

I am currently writing Historical Romances, with heroines setting their own norms and coming to toes with heroes worth loving.
