As a huge fan of Lisa Renee Jones’ Inside Out series, I was super excited to learn we’d get some cameos from some headliners in her next series, The Brilliance Trilogy. Yes, I’m looking at you Mark Compton. The Brilliance Trilogy consists of three connected books, each that starts where the previous left off. A Reckless Note (June 2020), A Wicked Song (August 2020), and A Sinful Encore (September 2020) are the books you need to add to your TBR! Without further ado, check out these beautiful covers, the blurb and of course, a special note from author and twisted mastermind, Lisa Renee Jones.

About The Brilliance Trilogy:

“I can chase you, and I can catch you, but there is nothing I can do to make you mine.”

― Morrissey

It all started with a note, just a simple note hand written by a woman I didn’t know, never even met. But in that note is perhaps every answer to every question I’ve ever had in my life. And because of that note, I travel thousands of miles. I look for her, but find him. I’m drawn to his passion, his talent, a darkness in him that somehow becomes my light, my life. I know he has secrets. I don’t care. Because you see, I have secrets, too.

I’m not Aria Alard, daughter to an Italian musician, as he believes. I’m Aria Stradivari, daughter to Alessandro Stradivari, a musician born from the same blood as the man who created the famous Stradivari violin. I am as rare as the mere 650 instruments my ancestors created. Instruments worth millions. 650 masterpieces, the brilliance unmatched. 650 reasons to kill. 650 reasons to hide. One reason to not to: him.

Now that I have your attention, here’s a little more about the story…

My ancestors created the Stradivari violin centuries ago. Each of the 650 instruments in existence are worth millions but the secret to their creation is worth far more. A secret that is guarded, that I suspect my older brother protects. He’s gone now though, silent for a year, presumed dead, but is he lost forever? I fear I have, but then I find a letter in his belongings, a mysterious, enthralling note from a stranger to me, that offers me hope. It also leads me to leave my job in Germany where I’ve lived and worked the past few years, and travel to New York City to find the author, and I hope, my brother.

Once there, the penman of the note is elusive, but I find clues to my brother’s travels, but he’s still missing. I can’t leave without him. And then I discover that one of our rare violins is about to be auctioned off at the famous Riptide Auction House, and I’m certain my brother will come for it. Unwilling to leave the states until all hope is lost, I take leave from my job at the Elbphilharmonie Symphony House in Hamburg, Germany and accept a job at Riptide. Through that job, I meet two men. One who enthralls me will his knowledge of music and history, and one who is a talented musician, composer and songwriter. Much like perfect whispers of music in my ear and the sweet taste of fine wine I learned to love through my family, this man draws me to him.

He’s a man of dark passion that awakens my own dark passion. Passion I didn’t know I possessed. I know he has secrets. I know I should walk away, but I don’t. Lord help me, I can’t.

But is this man a lover and a friend, a protector of the secret he too says he values with me? Or is he something more, something I can’t yet understand? And does he know more about my brother than he says he knows?

A special note from Lisa Renee Jones:

I am so excited to share the covers for all three books in my upcoming Brilliance Trilogy! This trilogy is dark, and seductive, and will also take me back to my Inside Out roots! For those of you who know the series you’ll see a few familiar faces, and I’ll even be revisiting Riptide (Mark Compton’s infamous auction house), but no fear, for those of you who haven’t read that series, this series stands all on its own. You do not have to read Inside Out to read this new series. But for those of you who crave more Mark Compton, you’ll find him, and perhaps even a bit of Chris Merit, in the Brilliance Trilogy.

I can’t wait to hear what you think about the covers and blurb! Feel free to tag me on social media with your thoughts, questions, and (hopefully) excitement! I’m @LisaReneeJones on Twitter and Instagram and @AuthorLisaReneeJones on Facebook!
