My Romance Threesome Of The Week by Kate Olson

My Romance Threesome Of The Week by Kate Olson

I’m finally recovered from the insanity that was the August 7th release day - OH MY GOODNESS. All the books on earth all of sudden dropped from the sky that day - seriously. Moving on, though……..

Unlimited audiobooks and ebooks for a crazy low monthly fee

My latest cheap-access-to-books find is Scribd, which is an app with a massive selection of books/audiobooks/magazines for a monthly fee of less than $10.00. I reached out to a bunch of other book reviewers before trying it out, and I got overwhelmingly positive feedback — and my own experience this past month supports that. I will say that the audiobook selection is a lot more exciting to me than the ebook selection, but my almost-teen daughter disagrees with me on that, so I guess there’s no real verdict! Give that I go through so many audiobooks each month, this service is a WIN. I love that I can download the books to my phone for offline listening — that’s a must for me.

The only downsides I have found so far is that my daughter isn’t able to download books or audio to her Kindle Fire — only streaming is available on that platform. Also, one tiny quirk is that the audio player doesn’t show the amount of time left in a book while you are listening. Other than that, though, the listening experience is just as great as it is with Audible or Libby. Do let me know if you end up trying it out!

My happy, cozy, perfect books

Way back in April, in my very first piece here at Frolic, I shared about a book that I loved titled The City Baker’s Guide to Country Living. And in July, Louise Miller’s second book The Late Bloomer’s Club released. These books are cozy, life affirming and filled with FOOD. They have romance, but are also contemporary-mainstream-fiction enough for those readers who aren’t quite ready for full on steamy stories. They are simply amazing and I want you all to read them immediately. And that’s that!

On My Radar

I adore finding upcoming releases and I love sharing them with you! Here’s a romance releasing on August 14 that I’m excited about…...

The Shape of You by Georgia Beers (Publisher Summary)

Personal trainer Rebecca McCall is furious when her coworker is sidelined and she’s forced to teach the “Be Your Best Bride” class. As if being a size two for your wedding photos is all exercise is good for. Could the whole thing get more vain and sexist? The class is full of preening, giggling Bridezillas, but one woman stands out. The one who confesses she’s only there because her fiancée signed her up. Who does that to someone they care about? And why can’t Rebecca take her eyes off her?

Spencer Thompson is a second-guesser. After making the worst mistake of her life, she’s happy to abdicate responsibility and let other people make her decisions for her. She’s always felt a little bit too soft, a little bit too curvy in all the wrong places. Her fiancée apparently agrees because she signed Spencer up for a class at the gym. Terrified by the online profile of the instructor, the epitome of Zero Body Fat, Spencer is relieved to find someone new, and realistic looking, leading the class. Except the instructor seems to hate her and Spencer has no idea why.

When a perfectly innocent post workout smoothie leads to an earth shattering kiss, Rebecca wonders if she’s been wrong all along, and Spencer is challenged to make another decision that could change her life forever.
