The other thing they have in common is that smoking hot one-night stand they had a while ago, the one that knocked both of them off their feet. That little sniglet of info should make the tension palpable when the heat of the moment kicks in!
The Thanksgiving Scrooge by Rose Bak
This is a novella in her Good with Numbers series. The only holiday in the illustrious Eating Season Lana cares about is Halloween. All of the others involve stress and family and stress, did I mention stress? Ian, her company’s new marketing consultant, sets about turning this Thanksgiving Scrooge into a holiday lover, and his lover too.
Hat Trick by Katherine E. Hunt
This one keeps us in the Eating Season (FYI – the official Eating Season runs Halloween – Valentines) themed books. Hat Trick finds music journalist and former wild child Ellie burying her beloved cat on New Year’s Eve. This is a far cry from her party days. An anonymous tip leads her to a former boyfriend, musician turned divorced stay at home dad, Sam. NYE finds him nursing a bad case of empty nest syndrome instead of partying the night away. This part of the Applebottom Matchmaker Society Small Town Sweet Romance series. Our heroine is forty, and our hero is forty-one. He and his nemesis from high school Louisa have been feuding since she pranked him hard back in the day. This enemies to lovers tale could be what both of them need to find happiness in their lives.
It’s Not PMS, it’s You by Rich Amooi
This is by a new to me author, but this rom-com has incredible, laugh out loud reviews on Goodreads. Ruth “Ruthless” Harper is at the top of her game professionally. Craving Jake by Bonnie Edwards
This is book three in her Return to Welcome series. This is a small town, second chance romantic suspense with a crazy ex who won’t leave Jake’s world quietly. Brianna was not thrilled by the prospect of moving back to Welcome, mainly because her old high school crush is still there, a crush she never fully got over. Too bad, his crazy ex has diabolical plans for her.
Perfect Fit by Sophia Sinclair
This is book four in her Small Town Secrets series. Interesting aside, Sinclair writes for an online outlet that focuses on body positivity. Her goal is to write about curvy women and their insecurities. In an exciting twist, the hero of Perfect Fit also has some vulnerabilities which end up helping the two main characters bond in the end.
Be Brave with Me by J.B. Havens and C.A. Miconi
This book kicks off a small-town romance set in the southern town of Green Springs, Mississippi. Be Brave with Me is described as a small-town romance with heat, where the days are hot and the nights are even hotter!
Justice for Daesha by Deanndra Hall
A romantic suspense with some serious heat! Amos falls for the sister of a 14-year-old cold case victim. Unfortunately for him, his new-found interest in the case puts a target on the back of his new lady love. Now he has to rescue her from her kidnappers before he loses the woman of his dreams. Justice for Daesha is out on November 12th and is the fourth book in the Bluegrass Bravery series.
Ride into Love by Jill Haymaker
And finally, check out Jill Haymaker’s Ride into Love. Both main characters are in their sixties. Robin’s husband died unexpectedly and left her with a cattle ranch to run on her own.
