Queen is one of my all time favorite bands–simple as that. Whether you enjoy head-banging rock songs or soft ballads, there is a Queen song for every occasion! Besides being your go-to karaoke band, check out some of these Queen inspired bookish pairings!

“Killer Queen” & Chasing Starlight by Teri Bailey Black

Chasing Starlight is by far one of my top 5 reads of the year. Set in the Golden Age of Hollywood, we follow Kate as she is sent to Hollywood and gets caught up in a movie production and a murder scandal! Kate is such a fierce and passionate heroine that I had to pair her with one of my all time favoirte Queen songs!

“Don’t Stop Me Now” & Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I don’t gravitate towards space books that often, but I completely devoured this one in one sitting. If you’re looking for something with an epic plot and loveable characters, definitely check this one out!

“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” & Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonzales

A Grease inspired contemporary! All of your hopes and dreams have been answered! If you’re looking for a cute, pick-me-up definitely give this romance a chance!

“Somebody To Love” & The Stars and the Blackness Between Them by Junauda Petrus

Another contemporary that left me completely speechless! We follow two different strong women as their fates intertwine and they slowly start to fall for one another. Both looking for different things, join Audre and Mabel on their journey in this wonderful story!

“Radio GaGa” & Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Another historical piece that I absolutely love. If possible, I highly recommend picking up the audiobook for this read. It is definitely worth it! The energy of “Radio Gaga” just matches the vibe of this novel so well, I had to pair them together!

“We Will Rock You” & Forest of Souls by Lori M. Lee

A dark and adventurous fantasy is something that definitely comes to mind when I listen to this song! A mix of friendship, magic, and adventure, Lori M. Lee crafted a brilliant world with loveable characters and an action filled plot!

“Bohemian Rhapsody” & Enchantée by Gita Trelease

Of course, I had to include Queen’s most iconic song. Whenever I listen to it, I always think of high stakes, battle, and victories! Following a strong female lead, this French Revolution inspired fantasy is chocked full of action and adventure!

“I Want To Break Free” & The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta

There are so many elements of this story that make it a timeless coming of age tale. Discovering yourself and your identity can be hard sometimes, but showing yourself and your true colors is always something to celebrate! A light-hearted book that grapples with so many important issues. I highly recommend adding this release to your TBR ASAP!

“Hammer To Fall” & Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles

Coming out at the end of August, this fantasy is on top of my TBR list! Often pitched as Moulin Rouge meets Phantom of the Opera, this new YA release sounds extremely promising!

“Another One Bites The Dust” & Caraval by Stephanie Garber

A fierce game that consists of love and magic, Caraval is definitely something that will keep you up reading waaay past your bedtime!
