I’m sure there are hundreds of people all over the spectrum of how quarantine has affected their reading habits. There were a few weeks where I hadn’t read (or written!) a single word while there has also been non-stop binges of wonderfully filthy books.
I LOVE romances. All genres. Every genre. People like what they like and my go-to tends to be steamy contemporary romances. Throw in a sports reference or an enemies to lovers or a forced proximity trope and oh I would gobble that ish up.
But I’ve found two authors who I know have been around for a while but I just never crossed their path and it sent me on a rabbithole of wanting to read their oh-so-sexy words. It started with Katee Roberts, Your Dad Will Do (A Touch of Taboo). I saw a ton of photos for it on twitter and was oh so curious. The premise is pretty much what the title says.
I’ve been harboring a dark secret for two long years. I’ve been fantasizing about my fiancé’s father, thinking filthy thoughts that a good daughter-in-law should not be indulging in. So when I catch my fiancé cheating on me, there’s only one revenge that will fulfill all my needs.
I’m going to seduce his father. It’s dirty and it’s wrong, and I don’t care. I want him, so I mean to have him.
After this weekend, my ex won’t be the only one who calls his father Daddy.
It was wonderful and dirty and a quick read. There is an age gap (which one can assume from the blurb) but it only added to the story. I went in with zero expectations and found myself muttering, oh okay then! Hell yah! multiple times. It is the perfect escape and while the character arcs aren’t intense or super detailed, it was perfect for the story and how they get to their HFN is great. Book two in the series just came out and for fans of MMF… you MUST read Gifting Me to His Best Friend.
Desperate Measures (Wicked Villains) by Katee Roberts
Again, after reading Katee’s Taboo story, I was like okay, I think I want more… I found Desperate Measures which is a Jasmine/Jafar retelling that really seemed to work. There were some trigger warnings that might bother some but if they don’t, this book is steamy and there are scenes at a sex club that are fist-biting material. Like, is this place real? This book was HOT and now I can never watch Aladdin again and imagine the story going a totally, filthy different way.
Also, if MFF scenes are your thing… this book DELIVERS.

Filthy Rich Americans Series by Nikki Sloane
Okay this entire series DESTROYED me in the best way. It is SO hot and kinky and captivating. The premise teases the dark and twisted romance story but my god, Marist’s journey is incredible. There is a whole, father in law hook that is so wrong but oh so good. If you read this series and don’t have the hots for Macalister… phew, that man can get it. Each book in this series is more explosive and it is almost impossible to stop reading once you get to the end. You aren’t sure who to trust, who you’re rooting for, or who is hotter. I never thought I’d be this much into a father-in-law vs the son instance but trust me… this is my absolute favorite series I’ve read in a long time.
There are scenes that had me sweating throughout all four books and I would recommend this series to anyone who wants steam, mystery, power play, and a little side of is this wrong?

Three Simple Rules (The Blindfold Club Series) by Nikki Sloane
THIS BOOK IS SO HOT HOLY SHIT.
This booked kicked off one of the best, erotic, steamiest reads I’ve ever read that just had my kindle BURNING UP. Nikki is one of the most talented writers in how she writes her characters and uses sex and chemistry. My god, this story had my heart pounding and flying through the pages because the growth, the relationship, the tenderness tied into the kink is almost too much. I rarely get that heart-stopping, stomach clenching angst in stories and I had this the entire time with this story.
The hero is… delicious and the whole premise is hot enough to melt your pages. Also, I have to say I LOVE how sex-positive this story is. Women are not ashamed of loving sex and shouldn’t be and I love the friendship between the mainc character and her bestie. Also… again, MFF scenes were not something I read a lot of but Nikki SLAYS IT. The trust and the way it pushed our couple… again, I cannot recommend this series enough.
I would do anything for my dream job. Now I have to.

So in conclusion, Katee Roberts and Nikki Sloane have owned my soul the past five months as I’ve breezed through their entire backlist and if you want delicious, steamy kink, you cannot go wrong with either one of them!
