It’s a trope in romance novels that elicits such strong emotions—whether you love or hate a cheating book, people always have strong opinions on it. It’s a real-life scenario that many readers have either been involved in or know someone who has, so the topic hits too close to home. But it’s cheating and love triangle books that pull these heavy emotions out of us that we’re breathless by the time we finish. Emotionally spent. Our eyes so teary, we can barely read the final words.
That is just what happened when I wrote Even If It Hurts and I assure you … this one hurt. It will hurt you just as much as it hurt me.
When I think back to some of the love triangle/cheating books I’ve read in the past, there have been some AMAZING ones. Several come to mind that were so detailed, angsty, real, I found myself completely immersed in the stories. I am not going to say anything more about these books other than READ THEM. Lose yourself in the tales these authors have spun. They will put you through a gamut of emotions, they’ll make you want to pull your hair out, you’ll hate the cheater, and feel sorry for who didn’t get chosen for the HEA.
