To explain a little about what this post will be about, I’m taking the intro I did for the last one: In every romance book you read there are tropes or archetypes. You can also see them in shows, movies, plays, etc. Romantic tropes are everywhere, and they are fabulous. I adore them and I always tend to find my favorite ones in romance books so I can enjoy them more. I decided to do a sort of Trope Tuesday piece where I will be talking about many tropes and recommend you all some of my favorites that fit.

What is a trope? Urban Dictionary explains it best I think: “Despite the erroneous definitions already published here, trope on the interwebs really refers to an often overused plot device. It can also be described as another variation on the same theme. TV shows, movies, comics, games, anime’, & books are full of tropes & many rabid fan-sites now name & track said tropes with a self-explanatory title for each one.” We can name a few: accidental pregnancy, best friends to lovers, sibling’s best friend, marriage of convenience, and so many more for sure. Your favorite couples? They probably got a trope too! It’s always so nice to realize or find out your favorite romance trope and keep searching for books with the same theme.

Autumn is slowly creeping in and leaving summer behind. Beaches, sunny days, margaritas, everything that reminds you of summer, that’s not what we’re doing today. Autumn days have changed a lot for me since I went to university because I now live in a city that has cold days when Cancun doesn’t (more like rainy days there!). So here I can wear cozy sweaters, coats, scarves, and fluffy socks. A coffee date, pumpkin pies, Halloween and more, is what awaits us for this upcoming season and let me tell you I’m more than excited to get started already.

Autumn Kisses by Té Russ

Té Russ is one of my favorite romance authors. This whole series, that Autumn Kisses is part of, is all about seasonal romances! Yes, you heard right. Spring, summer, autumn and winter love stories you can obsess over. This time I’m picking Autumn Kisses for obvious reasons and I’ve read it and loved it!

This romance features a Hannah Montana-like heroine who is keeping her jazz singer identity a secret!! Her little town knows she is the famous jazz singer Sapphire Woods but to them she is only Laurel Asher. And the hero is a writer who currently has writer’s block, oh boy. They both end up sharing the same house because of circumstances!

Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert

This is a Halloween-themed romance so of course I had to include it! Talia Hibbert is a power house and she has blessed us with all-time favorite romance novels. Mating the Huntress is her only paranormal novel but I recommend you to pick it up for the flirty characters, the amazing attraction between them and lots of fun moments.

Luke Anthony knows that Chasity is his life mate; he is determined to have her completely. But there is a huge problem and that is that Chasity comes from a family of Were-hunters so . . . of course Luke ends up being a shifter and she hates him at first sight. He’s so smitten that he’s ready to bring the big guns to have her all.

A Match Made for Thanksgiving by Jackie Lau

This upcoming Jackie Lau title (10/8) is going to start a new seasonal series, Holidays with the Wongs. We all love and have lots of fun reading Jackie’s books. The romance, the situation the characters get into, the conclusion of her stories, they all end up being favorites and you just can’t help but read it again sometime soon. This one, I believe, is going to be just as fun as the others!

Nick Wong loves partying and living in his penthouse in Toronto. But he has to go back home for Thanksgiving. This time, though, his parents and grandparents have interfered and invited blind dates for him and his three siblings. That’s how he meets Lily Tseng again after their one-night stand. She is his brother’s blind date but the thing is Nick can’t get her out of his head and he will do anything to make her believe they’re perfect together.
