Lit Wallflowers: Bombshell Interview with Sarah MacLean
New York Times, Washington Post, and USA Today bestselling romance novelist, romance columnist, and podcaster Sarah MacLean spoke to us!
This interview was full of spoilers so our fangirl selves including Natalie of @kissandletmetellyou, could ask revealing questions and get the answers that would bring joy to our heart!
We dive into writing the book and touch upon topics within the genre. We talk about historical accuracy and she can prove her ideas happened in the past. And for pervy human history, we can follow Sarah and listen to Jessica Cale’s Dirty, Sexy History podcast!
We would be remiss if we did not bring up #Munrowatch and Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series. We even found out about a version of Brazen and the Beast with an edited #IAD reference.
If you do know designer Christian Siriano, please refer Sarah to him for friendship and a Hell’s Belles fashion line.
If you know anyone in the film industry, Sarah is ready for a meeting. The soundtrack has already been made by her and her husband Eric!
Then we had to play Who’d You Rather and F*ck, Marry, Kill Sarah MacLean and IAD edition. If biting is your kink, who would you choose?
We hope we asked a question that scratched an itch. Join us as we discuss Bombshell with the “gracefully furious” Sarah MacLean!
P.S. Imogen Loveless’ biggest fan and the other half of Fated Mates, Jen Prokop is taking commissions to edit your book with her fascinating and thoughtful insights! Check out her www.jenreadsromance.com for contact info!
Julia Quinn’s Two Dukes of Wyndham with @romantically_swept_away: The Two Dukes of Wyndham series by Julia Quinn was a delight to read one after the other!
In “The Lost Duke of Wyndham,” highwayman Jack turned out to be the true duke. His cranky, dowager duchess grandmother just needed proof of legitimacy, but first she needed to catch him. It was his attachment to Grace, the dowager’s companion, who he would give up the dukedom for.
In “Mr. Cavendish, I Presume,” the current duke, Thomas, was potentially going to lose his dukedom and lose Amelia, his long standing fiancée who he finally started having feelings for.
If you want humor, book one is for you. If you want angst, book two is for you. The two books happen concurrently and have a lot of the same dialogue so we suggest reading both. Join us as we discuss the Two Dukes of Wyndham!
