Frolic Asks the Lightning Thief Cast: Which God or Goddess Would You Want as a Parent?
JHR
James Hayden Rodriguez (Luke and others) says…

I really am a true child of Hermes, our “Jack of All Trades” God! He is the God of sports and athletes, which is appropriate.  I started playing sports when I could walk and now commit myself to a very active and healthy lifestyle. He is the God of travel which I’m sure everyone loves but it is my favorite thing to do, and I will never turn down an opportunity for a trip aka VACATION! I am lucky that I get to travel quite a bit for work as well. Hermes is also known as “The Divine Trickster” which I’m sure my castmates would say is my most disconcerting quality. I tend to be a little too good at games that require lies and deceit. I guess you could say I was cast appropriately!

Well, she might not technically have children because she’s the goddess of Chasity – BUT I would love to be a daughter (or join her “sisterhood”) of Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt. I love that she’s the goddess of the moon and nature, and protector of young girls everywhere. She’s very grounded and feminine but also kicks a lot of ass. 🙂 I love the way Rick Riordan portrays her in his book and have to say that staying young forever is also tempting!

Apollo would be my parent mainly because I’m a Southern girl and I love the sunshine! There was a time in my life I’d actually chase the sun. When I moved to New York in the coldest winter in 100 years, I didn’t want to experience too many more of those so I started taking cruise ship gigs during the winter months to get to warmer weather and a beach.

I’ve always said that I was a child of Poseidon, but I don’t think I’d actually want him as my dad if I had a choice. If I had to pick who I’d WANT to be my parent, I’d love to be a child of Aphrodite. I’m a person who very much leads with their heart, and I’m a very hopefulness romantic, so I can definitely see a world where she’s my mom. But also, charmspeak is super dope and I wouldn’t mind having that gift. And I feel that Aphrodite can’t be THAT bad at being a parent…can she? Someone ask Silena…
