10 Bookish Accessories to Have for World Book Day

World Book and Copyright Day is a holiday created by UNESCO on April 23rd that’s, YES, a day dedicated to reading book. According to the United Nations, its official mission statement is “to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for the irreplaceable contributions of those, who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.” While sadly, we don’t get a day off from it, there’s no reason why we can’t commemorate our love for literature in style and accessorize our day with bookish goodies.

1. A Booksleeve from BookBeau

Handmade in the US, this gorgeous sleeve comes in different sizes and can fit anything from a small kindle all the way to a large hardcover and iPad.

2. Belle’s Bookshop T-Shirt

Whether or not Belle from Beauty and the Beast is your favorite Disney princess, it’s hard not to relate to her love for literature. Who doesn’t want their own library?! This comfy shirt offers a fun blend of Disney meets books and is suited for every occasion. If Belle actually had a book shop, we’d be there in a heartbeat!

3. A Book Holder/Travel Pillow

Not only can you use this as a travel pillow, but this book holder makes travel reading so much easier. Not only can you manipulate it to sit at any angle, but it has a fixed page folder so you don’t need to need holding the book. Buying this for my next trip ASAP.

4. TopElek Rechargeable Reading Light

If you’re like me, then you get your best reading done at night. This clip-on book light is perfect for some late-night reading when the lights are turned off and the only things aware are you and your book.

5. A “Just One More Chapter” Bookish Blanket

Regardless of where you read, you might as well get cozy. This cute fleece blanket is here to remind you to keep reading “just one more chapter” while plying you with warmth.

6. Harry Potter Sip by Swell “Hogwarts” Water Bottle

A stainless steel bottle for hot and cold drinks that also tugs on our Harry Potter heartstrings? Yes, we’ll take one too.

7. A T.S. Eliot “Spoons” Coffee Mug

You don’t have to be a T.S. Eliot fan to appreciate his caffeinated wisdom. Who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired to pick up one of his poems.

8. Out of Print “To Be Read” Socks

Nothing like a warm pair of socks with book piles on them to motivate you into reading your TBR pile.

9. Jane Eyre Writing Gloves

These chic pair arm warmers are for more than just writing; feel ensconced in Jane Eyre even as you’re reading something else.

10. Books and Flowers Phone Ring Holder/Stand

This rotating phone ring holder has an easy grip and shouts your passion for literature to the world.
