3 YA Book Boyfriends Worth Swooning Over

If you’re anything like me, you tend to cling onto fictional characters and end up completely falling head over heels in love with them. (By “tend”, I mean all the time). Whether it be the heros, anti-heros, villians, side character’s, I always find some dreamy eyed guy that I deem to be one of my book boyfriends. (As you may have guessed, I already have several). From brooding blue eyes to party-going brunettes, here are just a few of my favorite book boyfriends!

**1. Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare**

William Herondale is the book boyfriend. That’s right, he’s the ideal man. Sure he may have his quirks and an odd Welsh tattoo on his posterior, but Will’s sarcastic and charming nature is impossible to escape. I mean, who wouldn’t want to date a Victorian demon slaying angel? Did I mention that he’s a reader? *heart eyes*

Summary: The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them…

**2. Kaz Brekkar from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo**

Oh Kaz. What can I say about you? If you’re into the more gangster boyfriend who just so happens to run one of the most dangerous gangs around, then perhaps Kaz is your ideal boyfriend. But be warned, I’m pretty sure he’d chose kruge over any type of relationship.

Summary: Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone. . .

**3. Kell Maresh from A Darker Shade Of Magic by V.E. Schwab**

My cinnamon apple, magic wielding, Antari. Kell is my ideal boyfriend for many reasons, but a ginger with one blue eye and one black one who works for the royal family is persuasive enough. While he may be a bit too serious at times, Kell would definitely risk traveling to Black London for you. 😉

Summary: Kell is one of the last Antari—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black.

Kell was raised in Arnes—Red London—and officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see.
