An Uber-Romantic Playlist for Valentine’s Day!

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and you know what that means! I get to add another year of being single on Valentine’s Day to my lifelong streak. Do I hold the world record yet? Hmm. Anyways, who cares!? I’d rather listen to music as often as I want to than be in a relationship, anyways. Songs don’t lie to you and ignore you for three weeks.

But I digress…

For those of you who are lucky enough to have dates this Valentine’s day, here’s a playlist that I made just for you! These songs mean a lot to me and I hope you will love them, too.

“Sweet Talk” by Modern Maps

If you read my posts often, you know that I’m completely smitten with Modern Maps’s entire discography! Their song “Sweet Talk” is an upbeat, adorable song that will have you dancing along from the first bar.

“Die Happy” by Dreamers

I saw this live a few months ago and needless to say, I absolutely lost my mind. This is an alt-rock song that makes me feel all the feels! Dreamers has a talent for writing heartfelt lyrics that you can jam out to alone and with company.

“New Religion” by the Heydaze

This is, without a doubt, one of the cutest love songs on Spotify. It’s about how the right person can take your ordinary life to extraordinary. I highly recommend the acoustic version as welk!

“After Tonight” by Sleep On It

I can’t make a playlist without adding some pop punk! “After Tonight” is my favorite Sleep On It song, and it celebrates having fun with the person you love! I swoon over the guitar riffs every time.

“Adeline” by 90’s Kids

This song is too dang cute! A love letter to a girl named Adeline, this alt-rock pop song is a must-have on any Valentine’s Day playlist.

“Give Yourself a Try” by The 1975

I couldn’t make a playlist about love without a self-love song! This bop by The 1975 is an ode to self-love and having confidence in yourself!

“Heartstopper” by LOYALS

This song has one of my favorite lyrics of all time: “You’re like a bullet to the chest in the best sort of way.” It’s an interesting description of love, but I definitely relate!

“Lethal Combination,” Acoustic by The Wombats

This acoustic jam is the perfect way to end a playlist. I love the quirky style of The Wombats’ music, but this acoustic version of “Lethal Combination” is definitely my favorite.
