Naturally, we turned to the small screen! Crime shows come in all shapes and sizes: comedy, horror and more! If you’re craving a smart, twisty mystery, a lighthearted comedy, or a dark procedural, why not check out one of these great detective TV shows?

Brooklyn 99

If you need a little more laughter in your day, this cop comedy will delight you. From the hilarious antics that these detectives get up to trying to solve crimes to a swoon-worthy romance or two, this show is sure to have you binge-watching in no time!

EVIL

This new CBS show is not for the faint of heart. It follows forensic psychologist Kristen and assessor David as they investigate crimes and cases of people claiming to be possessed by demons. This badass team come across all kinds of spine-chilling criminals and gory crimes. If you want a good scare, EVIL is the perfect new show for you.

Deception

If you like magic, you’ll LOVE this show! Deception follows protagonist Cameron Black, magician, as he teams up with the FBI to help them think outside the box when it comes to solving crimes. The twist? Cameron’s own brother was framed for murder, and it’s up to Cam to get him out of jail. This show is smart, campy, and downright delightful.

Nancy Drew

A new spin on an old classic! There’s just something so fun about watching a teenage detective get the better of criminals. This show will give you all of the nostalgic feels and make you wish that you had a mystery of two of your own to solve!

Lucifer

There’s a lot going on in this show, but at the heart of it is Lucifer, who has left hell to take a vacation on Earth. Before long, he joins the police department and helps solve some of the most heinous crimes! If you love fantasy shows but want a bit of mystery in the mix, Lucifer is a great pick for you.

This book has all of the ingredients of a great detective show: a serial killer, a whip-smart detective, and a swoon-worthy second chance romance. The chemistry between Remi and Ash on the page is to die for, and we can totally picture these two on the small screen as well!
