In the novel, main character Alexa Monroe gets stuck in an elevator with a hottie who ends up being her very own unexpected wedding date. Drew Nichols is hard to resist, and the Californians end up pursuing a long-distance relationship, and, not to mention, a ton of foodie-based dates. In the beginning of the novel, Alexa is clutching a bottle of Veuve Cliquot, which inspired us to create a champs-based strawberry cocktail we affectionately call The Wedding Date.
