Perfect Pairings

Perfect Pairings: Books and Halsey Songs!

Halsey’s music is the perfect blend of angst, love, and female empowerment. If your just as big of a Halsey fan as I am, check out these novels paired with some of my favorite Halsey songs!

“100 Letters” & A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Sometimes love at first sight isn’t all that it’s cut out to be.

“Trouble (Stripped)” & The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Cardan and Jude have a rocky relationship right from the start. It’s not everyday that a Faerie ends up falling in love with a human. Can they overcome their grievances for their romance to flourish or will it crumple and burn? Read to find out!

“Strangers (ft. Lauren Jauregui)” & Crier’s War by Nina Varela

Who doesn’t love a good LGBTQ+ enemies to lover fantasy/sci-fi cross?

“New Americana” & Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Can a group of teenage thugs pull off the ultimate heist to make themselves rich beyond their wildest dreams? I wonder…

“Graveyard” & The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones

Sure, the main character of this book just so happens to be a gravedigger that has to fight the walking-dead, but I couldn’t resist the metaphor!

“Young God” & The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

A brand new perspective on the bond that Achilles and Patroculus share, this novel is perfect for anyone who loves angsty romance and reimagined Greek mythology!

“Angel on Fire” & Angelfall by Susan Ee

I mention this one a lot but Angelfall is the first book a severely underrated post-apocalyptic YA series! If you’re a fan of the TV show Supernatural or just love hot angels and enemies to lovers, definitely pick this trilogy up!

“Strange Love” & This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

It’s not every day that the world is overturned and run by monsters, but it’s even more bizarre when a monster and a human team up to fight the evils of the world.

“Castle” and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I’m sure some new readers have yet to pick it up! If not, give it reread in anticipation for The Hunger Games prequel coming out later this year!

“Gasoline” & Latium by Samantha Martin

Another underrated gem! If you’re a fan of boarding school mysteries with a hint of sci-fi then this is the next read for you!
