I don’t know about you, but as a mom of a VERY busy and, well…loud six year old boy, audiobooks are kind of my saving grace. I used to just listen here and there, but over the past couple years, audiobooks have quickly become my favorite and quickest way to read. I have listened to A LOT, so I’m here to give you a list of some of my faves in case you haven’t listened to them yet. Or if you have been wanting to get into audiobooks, but don’t know where to start, look no further. I gotchu, girl.
Narrated by Ramon de Ocampo
PERFECTION is the word that comes to mind when I think about de Ocampo’s performance of, quite honestly, my favorite romance book of all time. He perfectly capture’s Alex’s snarky and quick witted personality as well as Prince Henry’s delightfully posh British accent. But I think the best little gem up Ramon’s sleeve is the hilariously blunt southern drawl of Madam President, Ellen Claremont. “You’re a dumbass. Love you” cracks me up every single time.
Narrated by Mary Jane Wells
This is honestly a masterclass in acting and I’ll not hear another word about it. Mary Jane Wells is the queen of historical romance narration and this one right here is why. Not only is her voice just GOOD, but her pacing is phenomenal and voice work is unparalleled. The Duke of Ashbury is honestly the most extra hero on the planet and MJW captures his true boujee voice in the best possible way. I have already listened to this audiobook twice this year and I could go for round three right this second. It’s that good.

A m/m romance with my two favorite male romance narrators? HOLY YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU. Y’all. This book is so beautiful and steamy and perfect and Teddy & Jacob could not be better suited to narrate Jamie & Ryan’s story. These two are featured quited often as romance narrators, so if you’re an avid listener and don’t think you know who they are, you probably do.
Narrated by Sean Crisden
Crisden is the type of voice actor who can narrate literally anything. ANYTHING, I say! But, we never want him to stop voicing some of our favorite romance novels because he’s just too good. His voice is like velvet and is the perfect pairing with this beautifully poignant love story.
Narrated by Jessica Almasy
I love R.S. Grey so much, but for whatever reason, it took me forever to get to this backlist title by her. I got so excited when I found it on audiobook and even more excited when I quickly realized I LOVED the reading by Jessica Almasy. She just gets Kinsley, ya know? Spunky, fast-paced, hilarious, and sassy, this is such a fun read made even better by an incredible performance.

If you haven’t read Chloe Brown yet, what actually are you doing? Seriously. This book is honestly everything and the warm, rich, voice like buttah of Andoh puts this audiobook on just a completely different level. The writing is so amazing that you don’t think it could possibly get any better, but then this QUEEN comes in and just blows our minds?? *chef’s kiss*
Narrated by Jacob Morgan & Muffy Newton
Surprise, surprise. My boyfriend, Jacob Morgan made the list again. And rightfully so. He’s just so good, guys. And throw Muffy in the mix and you’ve got a perfect pair! This is one of my favorite Helena Hunting books and the casting is just perfect. The steamy scenes are even better when Mr. Morgan narrates them. TRUST.
