Edible (Exquisite #3) by Ella Frank
Speaking of perfect, I’m going to leave you with couple that might just be the most perfect pairing in the bunch. The piercing award goes to Cole Madison. The caramel award goes to Cole Madison. The buttoned-up lawyer by day, freak in the sheets by night award goes to Cole Madison. Pretty much all hero awards go to Cole Madison of Ella Frank’s Edible (Exquisite #3). Rachel Langley is our heroine and the younger sister to restaurant owner, Mason whom we met in book one, Exquisite. Rachel is pastry chef with control issues that stem from a rocky period years earlier. Rachel may not like being touched, but her character certainly touched my soul. She is a walking dichotomy of extremes, and to date, is one of my favorite heroines in my history of romance reading. Rachel and Cole’s story is one of the most compelling stories I’ve ever read. It is actually a frequent re-read for me for its complexity of issues, careful consideration of autonomy and consent as well as its smoking hot dirty talking sex scenes. There is so much to enjoy about this book, and I believe it can be read as a standalone; not that you’d want to miss any of the characters in Frank’s Exquisite series! Edible also wins because it sets us up for Logan’s book which, holy cow, if anyone could give Cole a run for his money, it would be Logan. However, Logan is a story for another day. Good gravy Ella Frank is a must read for me always and forever, amen.
