Thank Goodness, April’s Love Horoscope Offers Second Chances

April’s Goddess: Claire Fraser, Outlander series, Diana Gabaldon

Unwittingly, Claire Fraser is the ultimate vanguard: Back in time, she’s not of her time, and she never quite fits in anywhere but in Jamie’s arms. This month, the predominant Cardinal energies of Aries and Libra are telling you to start something and be a leader, even if in your own life. There’s also the sense of going back in time, redoing things and revisiting the constant themes in our lives like hope, love and consequences.

April’s first few days offer a chance to do a little Marie-Kondo’ing of your relationships. On the 3rd, the healing energy of a Mars-Chiron aspect softens the areas of your life where you may be holding on too tightly. Mars is the planet of passion, but remember that it’s the planet of war. We don’t always need to be rocking the boat. Then the New Moon in Aries on the 5th gives you the opportunity to start a new relationship or a new chapter in an existing relationship.

On April 10, Jupiter goes retrograde for four months, so let’s talk about the various planets going retrograde this month. Besides Jupiter, on April 24, Pluto starts a five-month retrograde and then on April 29, Saturn starts to retrograde for about four and a half months. These periods of time give us all a chance to reconnect with past issues that these planets affect. With Jupiter retrograde, reconnect with your spirituality, faith and hope; with Pluto, your sexuality and sources of power; with Saturn, your life’s direction.

Power struggles may come to a head on April 13th when a tough square between the Sun and Pluto occurs. With the April 19 Full Moon in Libra, the sign of partnerships, you have another chance to get closure on some relationship matters.

Take note when Venus moves into Aries on April 20th for about a month. This is a difficult place for the planet of love to be — it’s like being behind enemy lines when Venus is in Aries, the home of the planet of war. Your mindset when it comes to relationships may be more “me” than “we.” On April 27, a Mars and Neptune conflict might reveal something that has been hidden with lies. Consider it a blessing to know the truth and be able to continue your emotional spring cleaning.
