To explain a little about what this post will be about, every Trope Tuesday post starts with the same introduction. In every romance book you read there are tropes or archetypes you find inside its pages. You can also see them in shows, movies, plays, etc. Every type of entertainment and media. Romantic tropes are everywhere, and they are fabulous. I adore them and I always tend to find my favorite ones in romance books so I can enjoy them even more. Trope Tuesday is a weekly column where I share books that I know people will enjoy with a specific central trope.
What is a trope? Urban Dictionary explains it best: “Despite the erroneous definitions already published here, trope on the interwebs really refers to an often overused plot device. It can also be described as another variation on the same theme. TV shows, movies, comics, games, anime’, & books are full of tropes & many rabid fan-sites now name & track said tropes with self-explanatory title for each one.” We can name a few: accidental pregnancy, best friends to lovers, sibling’s best friend, marriage of convenience, and so many more. Your favorite couples? They probably got a trope too! It’s always so nice to realize or find out your favorite romance trope and keep searching for books with the same theme. So really? Music tells stories out of melodies and words. A song is a poem, a declaration, a tale. If someone dedicates a song to you, that’s such a sweet and romantic moment because it tells you that the song reminds them of you and they want for you to remember them with it. Musicians in romance books are smooth, romantic and have words that make you swoon. And their love interests, of course! The love interests won’t see love coming until it’s right there in their face.
So these artists are here to enchant us with their careers, music tastes, and overall personality. They might be going through a very hard time or taking their career to another level of fame throughout the novel. Either way, these characters are never going to expect finding love at that moment in their lives. But as we all know, the happily ever afters are always very unexpected.

A beach house, a writer with writer’s block, a jazz singer and an epic forced proximity romance perfect for this time of year. You all know my love for Té Russ’s romances and this one is a sweet novella with two people who suddenly find themselves sharing the same beach house because of a misunderstanding.
I love the idea about Laurel being the super famous jazz singer Sapphire Woods. But no one seems to know about that fact except this small town. She is ready to spend some time alone and away from the spotlight, so coming to the beach house is surely a great idea for her. But when she encounters this gentleman inside, things don’t go as she imagined.
Chencia C. Higgins is a powerhouse. She constantly releases new stories and they really hit you in the feels. Things Hoped For is just that; a little novella that makes you want to fall in love quickly.
Latrisha is relocating to Texas after her palm was read a couple of years ago. She is ready to find love! Meanwhile Xeno is a rapper who suddenly becomes very popular when a big shot artist gives her a shout-out, so she has that going on in her life. They meet after one of Xeno’s concerts where their love story begins.
Reagan thinks her life is going really well. She has a job she enjoys doing, her own place she’s comfortable in, and a lifestyle that makes her happy. But what’s missing is someone to share it with, you know? The big L: love. Unfortunately, the first time doesn’t work that way. That moment in her life forces her to show off that she is better off without him, so she needs a fake boyfriend ASAP. And Gavin is at the right time and place to make it happen.
You are in luck because this whole series (this is book two but can be read as a standalone!) is about a rock band named Trainman. So each book features a different member of the band getting their happily ever after. Jay E. Tria is a wonderful writer who even writes original songs for her fictional band! This series really is one to read.
