You Need “The Saucer Life” In Your Life

Do you have an interest in UFOs, history, or really great podcasts? If so, “The Saucer Life” is going to be your new favorite.

The Saucer Life is hosted by historian and college professor Aaron Gulyas. Each episode covers different aspect of UFO history and culture. Gulyas covers each concept in an interesting way, adding his dry wit to the conversation often. Additionally, Gulyas reads from primary sources such as newspapers, zines and opinion pieces from the time he’s discussing. It’s fascinating to hear the thoughts of UFO enthusiasts and contactees from the 50s, 60s and beyond.

One thing that sets The Saucer Life apart from other shows about UFOs is the strictly factual nature of the show. Each episode features the cultural context that shaped each “sighting,” and we’ve learned so much about American history through listening to these UFO stories! This show also covers sightings and UFO culture not often seen in the media. Everyone has heard of Roswell, but there are so many more fascinating stories to discover.

Finally, The Saucer Life has introduced us to stories about UFOs that we never knew existed. Did you know that alien contactees have been known to (allegedly) fall in love with their captors? How about how many contactees claimed that aliens were visiting earth to warn us against the use of nuclear weapons? Though many UFO stories are strictly science fiction, there is lot of real history behind these stories. If you need an entertaining, informative podcast to listen to while taking a walk, doing the dishes, or anything else, The Saucer Life is just what you’ve been searching for.
