An eventful week opens up February, starting on the 2nd when Venus has a meet-cute with Uranus. Expect some positive surprises and plot twists where love and money are concerned, especially for Taurus, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius signs. The next day on Feb. 3, Venus makes that sign change from optimistic, talks-a-big-game Sagittarius to practical, hard-working, realistic Capricorn for the next month. Relationships that don’t have structure and, let’s be honest, a future may falter, but this will be a great time for those who are in it to win it to lay the groundwork for a meaningful union.
On Feb. 4, the Aquarius new moon brings a fresh take on emotional situations. New friends and new opportunities that upset the status quo are highlighted. Interestingly, the next day, the 5th, marks Chinese New Year. 2019 is the year of the Pig, traditionally a time of wealth and luxury — if you are of the sign of the Pig, at least. Quite the opposite if you’re the sign of the Snake.
So what about Valentine’s Day? The day before, February 13th, may seem a little foreboding. When Mars meets Uranus in Aries, you might get burned if you’re too close to the fire. There will be an explosive, aggressive energy in the air, so think through the consequences of your actions. But the lovers’ holiday should be a little tamer because on the 14th, Mars, the planet of sexual energy, moves into stable Taurus and settles at a simmer. Take note, Aries and Scorpio, because you might feel like you lost a little of your mojo.
The Supermoon full moon on the 18th is in Virgo, and it marks the completion of cycle, especially in regards to areas of your life that have needed organizing and humble dedication; think: your closet, your inbox, your diet, your to-do list. Clean your sh*t up, it’s saying, because you’ll need both hands on February 22 when Venus joins Pluto, the planet of rebirth, enacting power struggles in your romantic relationships. Your sexiest day of the month closes out February: On the 27th, a fiery Sun-Mars link up will have you wanting to blow off some steam.
