Your March Love Horoscope Is an Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove

March’s Goddess: Princess Kelsea Raleigh Glynn of The Queen of the Tearling Series by Erika Johansen

Unwilling but also unyielding, Kelsea is thrown from an isolated childhood into a dangerous existence as a hunted queen. It’s exhilarating, yes, but sometimes she wants to just crawl back into her little hole of anonymity. Knowledge and power can be like that. Similarly, this month will be one of transitions in who you love and how. And don’t forget about the most important relationship in your life — the one with yourself.

Brace yourself for the first week of March, which gives you a peek into the rest of the year, and, in some ways, the next seven years. On the 1st, the planet of love, Venus, has a standoff with Uranus, the planet of independence and surprises. As this is the first of three similar Venus-Uranus squares, you may find yourself navigating your relationship through a difficult passage, negotiating between a need for security and a similarly strong one of independence. The theme continues when Venus moves in Uranus’ sign, Aquarius, for the next month.

From March 5th to the 28th, Mercury goes retrograde in Pisces. There’s a lot of fear around Mercury retrograde that I, even as a Gemini ruled by Mercury, believe is overblown. Look at this time as a chance to revisit information you received in the past, especially since Mercury is in Pisces, which highlights nostalgia, memories and forgiveness. Take stock, learn from your mistakes, and be ready to try again when Mercury goes direct on the 28th.

There’s a big celestial to-do on March 6, when Uranus moves back to into Taurus for another seven years after retrograding in Aries since November 2018. Uranus likes to turn the tables in whatever sign it sits in, and Taurus is associated with security, finances, material wealth, the arts and sensual experiences, among other things. Check out what The AstroTwins’ say about what this could all mean, including financial disruption. Since most couples fight about money at some time or other, start shoring up your own money matters now. P.S. There’s a new moon in Pisces on this same day — you’re going to feel wistful about the past, apprehensive about the future, and like you need a good cuddle.

Also circle March 20th on your calendar. After some playful sexy talk on the 17th when Mars and Mercury sextile, sh*t gets real. With the Sun moving into me-first Aries and the Moon in more-is-merrier Libra, you are again asked to find balance between “me” and “us.” The day of the spring equinox sees a full supermoon bringing certain aspects of relationships to a close, clearing the way for new adventures. There is definitely something titillating in store on that day too, as suggested by the ultra-sexy vibes from the Mars-Pluto meetup.

Watch out for tempers flaring on the 21st — you’ll want to make love and make war when Venus and Mars square each other that day. When Venus enters the sign of Pisces on the 26th, the planet of love will feel right at home, and, for the next month, your relationships are tinged with romance, fantasy and big feelings.
