There are tons of bear shifter books and a surprising amount of polar bear specific tales. Eve Langlais’ Kodiak Point series has everything from Moose to Caribou shifters, but for me, the highlight is Polar Bared. The tag line for this series had me at hello, “Welcome to Kodiak Point, where the wildlife might wear clothes, but animal instinct rules the heart.” In Polar Bared, Gene is a veteran out for vengeance against the brothers in arms that betrayed him and left him in danger. Revenge is all he has on his mind until the very human, very geeky, incredibly beautiful Vicky crashes into him, literally. His protective instincts kick in when he realizes she’s in danger and suddenly, vengeance takes a backseat to love. Now he just has to keep her safe.
If it’s a series full of polar bears that tickles your fancy, I’d like to suggest you check out Vivian Arend’s Borealis Bear series. The grandfather of three polar bear shifters is up to his meddling ways. He wants his grandsons mated tout de suite, which is good because their mating fevers, the time they bond with their fated mate, is fast approaching. James, Alex, and Cooper do not like being told what to do. They are determined to mate only when and how they want. But, can they fight fate? Oh man, fated mate polar bear stories with a meddling elder for the win!
