If you’re anything like me, you can’t get enough of enemies-to-lovers tropes. I think the book Shatter Me first got me hooked on this, and now I’m in too deep to ever claw my way out. Of course, the only thing I love more than a good enemies-to-lovers arc is a great playlist. Today, I’ve compiled a playlist of songs that give me that enemies-to-lovers vibe.
The Night Out by Martin Solveig (A-Trak Remix)
In so many enemies-to-lovers stories, the two characters warm up to each other after teaming up on some task or, you guessed it, spending a night out. I prefer this remix to the original because it has a bit more beat behind it!
Haven’t Had Enough by Marianas Trench
Marianas Trench has been one of my favorite bands for years now and while all of their albums have great songs, Ever After is clearly the superior album. Haven’t Had Enough is an enemies-to-lovers to nothing to…lovers? Anthem. Give this one a listen and you’ll have the album on repeat before you know it.
ADHD by Truslow
Sometimes, enemies don’t want to admit how much they have in common. As the song says, “you’re a little bit just like me.”
Van Horn by Saint Motel
“Do you hate me or do you want to date me?” No idea tbh.
Ex Lover Syndrome by Jet Black Alley Cat
I’m cheating a bit with this one, because it’s more forbidden romance than enemies-to-lovers, but I don’t care! “Close your eyes to the really good advice” and give this one a listen.
Forever by Chvrches
Okay, cheating again with this lovers-to-enemies song. Try to stay mad after you’ve listened to Lauren Mayberry’s gorgeous vocals, I dare you.
Crawl by Crooked Teeth
So much hate in one song…I can’t get enough of Crooked Teeth’s sound.
Favorite Poison by Fuller
This was on my workout playlist back when I thought that running was a thing I might enjoy (spoiler alert: I do not). This song is great for a morning commute or an evening of chores.
Scumbag by Goody Grace ft. Blink-182
I think the title of this one says it all!
Vampires by L.I.F.T.
I may have mentioned this song before, but whatevs! This is the perfect “I kinda hate you” song with a supernatural twist.
