Good old friends-to-lovers. The shared memories. The casual touches. The pining. Can anything truly capture that feeling? Nope, but I’m going to try with this angst-filled friends-to-lovers playlist!

Just Friends by Virginia to Vegas

This was the first Virginia to Vegas song I heard, and I never looked back. This song is a super catchy tale of two people who need to “stop pretending that they’re just friends.” It has all of the angsty vibes of a good friends-to-lovers tale, and I’m here for it.

Her by Glades

I’m cheating with this one, because the girl doesn’t get her love at the end of this one. However, I have to include it because of the gorgeous, breathy vocals and this song’s undeniable ability to make me feel very deep feelings. “I can’t make you say my name when all you know is hers.” OUCH.

Friends by Midnight Endeavor

Getting frisky with a “friends with benefits” to lovers song here. Midnight Endeavor is great and I highly recommend checking out their other songs, too.

Bitter Winter by San Cisco

This song is so delightfully weird. “If I wanted someone like me, I’d hang out with myself.” San Cisco is an acquired taste but one I’ve grown to love. “Rocket Ship” is another great one.

Let’s Jump by You vs Yesterday

A catchy song about giving into those feelings and diving right in!

Gameboy by hbd

A fun song about sneaking away from your friends with your… “friend.”

Little Love by JADN

Not strictly friends-to-lovers, but I’m choosing to interpret it that way! I absolutely love the chorus of this song and I know you will too!

Two Summers by One1120

They say don’t fall in love with your best friend…why not, though?

Tricky by Fitz and the Tantrums

Feelings are tricky, but worth it!

Modern Hearts by The Knocks

Finishing off this list with a tiny bit of EDM that asks: is there a place for love in modern hearts?

Tune into one or all of these songs and add a little dance to your day!
