Fantasy casting is a major cornerstone to many comic and animation-based fandoms, and Lore Olympus is no exception to this fun pastime. At a whopping 283 comments, the Dream Cast Nominee post is the most popular topic on the official Lore Olympus facebook group.
As the creator of Lore Olympus, one of the most common questions I’m asked is “Who would you cast?” This is actually a huge challenge becauseI find it hard to imagine the cast of Lore Olympus as real people.
I’ve created a list of actors who I think best capture the spirit of the cast of Lore Olympus, rather than just their looks.
Please note: This is not this is my rock-solid opinion, but simply a brainstorm. There are heaps of amazing fan casts out there! Also, I didn’t cast everyone because Lore Olympus has a really large cast!
Hades
I’m going to pick a selection of men for Hades, as I feel it’s only fair.
Mads Mikkelsen.
Mikklesen is not for everyone, but he is for me.
Constantine Markoulakis
Greece-born actor, Constantine Markoulakis, who is far too serious to exist in a gif format.

Let’s face it, he’s got the shoulders.

Billy Zane
Billy Zane has “charming” down to a fine art, but you know he’d have no issues playing a complete asshole.

Hecate was one of the hardest to cast on account of her being such a badass.

I too would let Mila Kunis treat me terribly and then buy her a purse.

She has that BDE.

John Mulaney as Hermes tho… idk I have mixed feelings about how Hermes should be portrayed. Look up Hermes from the musical, Hadestown. You’ll get what I mean lo.
I personally see Minthe as Meghan Fox. She’s just got the perfect demeanor and looks. Meghan is the queen of the cool bad bitch look and that’s what Minthe calls for.
I personally think that Hades should be played by Adam Driver .. he can really play into the misunderstood powerful and mysterious protagonist
