Jeff and Will's big gay fiction
Big Gay Fiction Podcast: Episode 213 – “Loosen Up” with Max Walker

Jeff & Will open the show celebrating two birthdays: Will’s advanced age and the podcast’s sprightly fourth year.

Jeff reviews Blood & Bitcoin by L.A. Witt. Will reviews Safe Harbor by H J Welch and The Secret of the Carrot Medallions, a graphic novel featuring Catherine Dair’s Skip and Pip characters.

Max Walker talks to Jeff about his latest book, Loosen Up and how he got involved in the Ace’s Wild series. They also discuss Max’s Stonewall Investigations and Stonewall Miami series, how he balances suspense and romance, as well as his journey from nearly being a doctor to becoming a full time author.

Smart Podcast, Trashy Books: 375. Beautiful Friendships: Live at One More Page Books with Christina Lauren

From the DC stop on their book tour to promote Twice in a Blue Moon, I’m in conversation with Christina Lauren at One More Page Books in Alexandria, VA! I recorded this on 23 October in front of a live and most excellent audience, and I had questions both from my brain and from the community on SBTB, too. We talk about their newest book, the themes therein (no spoilers, I promise!) and about writing, productivity, travel hacks, caring for their creative selves, and their professional and personal friendship.

Two live recordings, back to back! This week, I’m in conversation with Sherry Thomas, author of the Charlotte Holmes series. I recorded this on Friday, 25 October, 2019, at the Loyalty Bookstore in Washington DC. As usual, I had questions from my nosy brain and from the SBTB community – and in the middle we have crashing cups, a spontaneous reading from the author, and a special additional guest: audiobook narrator Kate Reading came to the event to meet Sherry, and the poor woman sat next to me so I asked her a question, too

Tea and Strumpets
Tea & Strumpets: A Regency Romance Review: 011 – Interview – Evie Dunmore talks Bringing Down the Duke

Join us as we speak with Evie Dunmore, whose first novel Bringing Down the Duke came out this past September to great acclaim. Evie walks us through how she became interested in romance and what inspired her to write her first novel. This Oxford-educated woman is a treat, telling us about being a new author and what actually is the difference between a suffragette and a suffragist. We bonded over our collective difficulties reading Jane Austen novels and our love of horseback riding. You’ll really enjoy getting to know her as much as we did, so stop reading and get listening! *mid-level spoilers, we tried to be good* (Also, somehow there is a spoiler for Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase. You’ve been warned!)

top to botm

We also get to announce formally that we’re now part of the Frolic Podcast network! If you’re into romance fiction of any flavor, the Frolic Podcast Network includes shows that feature book club style discussions, author interviews, comedy, critique, and fantastic conversations as well.
