Happy Book Birthday week to The Dating Game by Kiley Roache! I adored this book and think that it should be shouted from the rooftops that everyone should read it! So, here is the awesome synopsis to this fun and intelligent book along with three moments in the book that made me swoon!

Synopsis: (From Goodreads)

The Social Network gets a romantic twist in this fresh and engaging new read from the author of Frat Girl, Kiley Roache. Experience the whirlwind ups and downs of college life in this authentic and entertaining new novel!

When a notoriously difficult class for future entrepreneurs leads to three freshmen developing the next “it” app for dating on college campuses, all hell breaks loose…

Type A control freak Sara lives by her color-coordinated Post-it notes.

Rich boy Braden wants out from under his billionaire father’s thumb.

Scholarship student Roberto can’t afford for his grades to drop.

When the three are forced to work together in one of the university’s most difficult classes, tension rises to the breaking point…until, shockingly, the silly dating app they create proves to be the most viable project in class. Late nights of app development, interest from investors and unexpected romance are woven into a true-to-life college drama that explores what it means to really connect online and IRL.

1. The first time Braden calls Sara Blondie

I think one of the many things I loved about this book was the romantic relationships within it. I adored the love triangle between Braden, Sara and Robbie and thought that it was really well done! I didn’t know up until the very end how the romantic relationships would end up, and I loved the character development of the main characters! One of my favorite small romantic moments was the hate to love relationship of Sara and Braden (because if anyone knows me well, they know I am a total sucker for hate to love)! The moment he nicknamed her Blondie, I knew I was a goner, and I really enjoyed seeing the development of their relationship and how it ended… (#NoSpoilers).

2. Robbie…

I swooned the moment I read about Roberto, one of the three main characters in The Dating Game. I fell head over heels in love with his character. He is kind, cares for his family before anything else, and has a huge crush on Sara that is just so endearing. I loved his character development throughout the story and truly came to adore his character. He is a well-developed male character that has the perfect balance of sweetness and strength!

3. That moment Sara reads the letter…

The letter… oh, the gorgeous and romantic letter near the end of this story that stole my heart. I cried reading this scene, especially from Sara’s perspective. I adored Sara’s character as well in this book. I honestly saw her as a reincarnation of Hermione Granger and who couldn’t absolutely love that? I not only fell for the letter, and the man that wrote it in this scene, but I felt a connection to Sara’s character and was so thrilled by the fact that she was finding love…a love that she truly deserved, not what she thought she deserved.

I absolutely loved this book! I thought that it did an amazing job of getting its message across about how social media can have both negative and positive effects on people.  It was also just a fun, romantic read that I see myself re-reading over and over again! I recommend this new romance from Kiley Roache to everyone!
