[Note from Frolic: This post is brought to you by our friends at Kensington. Looking for your new favorite Christmas romance? Look no further than Colorado Country by Diana Palmer!]

‘Tis the season to cozy up on the couch with a glass of wine and a feel-good holiday book. We’re talking mistletoes, cheesy ice skating dates, and perfectly mysterious inheritances. Come on, we know you love a good corny Christmas read. Look no further — here’s our list of 2022’s best Christmas novels and novellas.

Colorado Country by Diana Palmer

Palmer has written more than 100 books (what a boss!) and was voted one of the top 10 romance writers in the U.S. She’s known for stories about alpha heroes, sexy cowboys, and high-stakes romance. Well, she brings all of that and a holiday flair to her fan-fave, Colorado Country. It’s two novellas for the price of one, The Snow Man and Mistletoe Cowboy, both of which take place in cowboy central: Benton, Colorado. Both stories are steamy reads with love surprises and ranch romance — get your copy today!

Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone

If you’re dying to read about a love story that doesn’t start with Hinge or Bumble, this one is for you. Merry Little Meet Cute takes an adult film star and a boyband member and smashes them together (literally…) in a cheesy holiday movie. Things get kinky and crazy, and you’ll have to read the whole story to see if their strange dynamic ever turns into something more.

One Last Gift by Emily Stone

Heartwarming and sure to make you shed a tear, One Last Gift tells the story of a sibling duo — Cassie and Tom — who grew up together without their parents. Twenty  years later, Cassie loses her brother Tom and finds herself feeling lonelier than ever. When she finds a note from Tom that sets her on a Christmas scavenger hunt adventure, her life changes forever. Watch her journey unfold — and see what Tom has in store for her.

There’s Something About Merry by Codi Hall

Not to be mistaken for the Cameron Diaz film, There’s Something About Merry truly has something for everyone. See what we did there? This novel is set in a small town in Idaho, where down-in-the-dumps Merry Winters decides to start internet dating. She stumbles across the profile of a single dad, who isn’t quite looking for love like she is. When they meet, sparks fly. Will they end up together? Or is he too set in his ways to settle down in a relationship?

The Christmas Wish by Lindsey Kelk

Workaholic lawyer Gwen Baker makes an innocent Christmas wish to get over her heartbreak and sort out her career. Well, she winds up in a Groundhog Day nightmare. And swap that Groundhog Day for Christmas Day. Over and over and over again. We all love holiday cheer, but on repeat? Maybe not. Read the novel to see if Gwen mends her broken heart and escapes the madness of her repeat Christmas.

Well, that’s a wrap with a big shiny red bow. You won’t be bored this holiday season with all of these festive reads. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but if you can only squeeze in one, go with Colorado Country… two stories in one. But we hope you can read them all. Happy holidays — and happy reading!
