Have you heard about Romancing the Runoff? It’s an epic auction raising money to fight for good in Georgia. From their website:
“We are romance authors who care about the future of this country and are inspired by fellow romance author Stacey Abrams to help Georgia elect two Democratic senators. Democracy only thrives when every vote can be cast and counted, and we are fighting to help dismantle the legacy of voter suppression in Georgia. All funds raised through our project will go to Fair Fight, the New Georgia Project, and Black Voters Matter.”
Incredibly, they’ve raised over $300,000 and counting. It’s not too late, either! Check out the below for some amazing items you can still snap up before it’s too late!

3 hours of research by research librarian Karen Viars
Ever wanted someone else to do your research for you?? I am a reference librarian with 10 years of experience offering three hours of time and expertise for you!
Interested in my qualifications? Here you go: I have a Master’s in Information Science and have proved reference services for a wide range of subjects at a community college, a small liberal arts college and a large research university. I can do general and historical research, or spend all the time on that one thorny question you just haven’t been able to sort out.
What I can do for you: three hours of dedicated detail-oriented research on any topic or topics of your choosing (within reason). This can be collaborative — I can teach you research skills that you can use on your own — or I can deliver information organized in a way that’s helpful and accessible to you.
Alternatively, if you are writing about a librarian or libraries, you can use some or all of this time to consult about what being a librarian and working in a library is really like (please note: most of my experience is in college an university libraries, with a smattering of archives experience).
