To explain a little about what this post will be about, every Trope Tuesday post starts with the same introduction. In every romance book you read there are tropes or archetypes you find inside its pages. You can also see them in shows, movies, plays, etc. Every type of entertainment and media. Romantic tropes are everywhere, and they are fabulous. I adore them and I always tend to find my favorite ones in romance books so I can enjoy them even more. Trope Tuesday is a weekly column where I share books that I know people will enjoy with a specific central trope.

What is a trope? Urban Dictionary explains it best: “Despite the erroneous definitions already published here, trope on the interwebs really refers to an often overused plot device. It can also be described as another variation on the same theme. TV shows, movies, comics, games, anime’, & books are full of tropes & many rabid fan-sites now name & track said tropes with a self-explanatory title for each one.” We can name a few: accidental pregnancy, best friends to lovers, sibling’s best friend, marriage of convenience, and so many more. Your favorite couples? They probably got a trope too! It’s always so nice to realize or find out your favorite romance trope and keep searching for books with the same theme. So really? I’m just helping you find that new favorite book of yours. If ever you want a post on a trope I haven’t done yet, do drop me a tweet at @thebookvoyagers and let me know!

Throughout this year I have had small book slumps where I just don’t feel like reading big books with lots of information. When these moments come, I always gravitate towards very short romance books, or novelettes. Different from novellas because they are rather more on the short side; most of the books I am mentioning today are less than 50-60 pages. They just make you have the best time reading them and you have lots of fun while doing so. They almost always narrate a sexy moment in the main character’s life and usually have a HFN (happy for now) ending. If you do not like short novellas, skip this list because they won’t give you that character development or slow burn romance you crave. These are just very sexy, romantic novelettes that you won’t be able to stop reading until you are clicking the last page.

ATE by Rilzy Adams

The newest title by one of my favorite authors definitely made my morning. It’s just one of those stories that you need in your life to… feel. You need to experience a Rilzy Adams novel if you haven’t, because she is a must-read author if you love romance books. ATE is more on the erotic side but it definitely features a very romantic dinner with sex as the ultimate dessert.

Tempest is going to celebrate a business deal she just made, so she decides to have dinner with her best friend. But a few hours later she finds out her BFF just got a call from her job and now she is dining alone. Well, dining with the chef only. And the chef is a very sexy, handsome man who knows how to use his hands, either for creating delicious plates or for making her go wild.

#birthdaygoals by AshleyNicole

If you’re in the mood for a birthday-themed story, this is it. This is such a fun read that will, for sure, make you laugh and swoon! AshleyNicole is that good and she has like a lot of other books you all should read too, so get going with her backlist!

Arianne’s birthday is here. Every year she chooses two goals to achieve; an easy one and an impossible one. Each year she chooses Kammal as her impossible goal. This time might be the lucky one! She’s not ready for what’s to come because this thing is about to be WILD.

Birthday Sex by Té Russ

Another short story that I completely fell in love with. Té Russ knows how to write sexy, erotic moments and this whole thing is just that. Since the very beginning you get into the feel of the story and it never stops. You won’t want it to stop! It’s such a good ride and Russ made me experience so many emotions in such a small amount of pages.

Harper and Trent have a tradition, and that is to be together on their birthdays. Harper’s birthday is that day and she’s ready to spend it with handsome Trent. But the main dish is happening at night; what can they do before then? Trent knows how to start this day on the right foot and he’s ready to let Harper know.

Trick by Shae Sanders

Shae Sanders has become a new favorite of mine. Shae Sanders always puts a smile on my face! This time around she blessed us all with a Halloween-themed series and Trick is the first book in it. Both are pretty short so you can go ahead and check out Treat when you’re done with this one.

Disastrous first dates, an unexpected shower time, laugh-out-loud moments and sexy times are some of the things you’re getting in this story. Don’t they sound wonderful? Denard and Tyra are hilarious together, and all these funny situations they get themselves into are going to show you how much they fit together.
